Network Engineer (1 yr contract)

Job Description: 

1. Able to come up with network/connectivity solution based on client requirement/budget.
2. Able to document high level & low level design in a logical and physical diagram.
3. Able to identify test scenarios and run lab test to proof the proposed/conceptual design in a staging environment.
4. Able to do initial deployment of the solution in a live/client environment.
5. Able to come up with alternative design and solution based on limited budgetary or client requirements with documented comparison or Features, Advantages and Disadvantages (Think Out of the Box).
6. Able to write assessment and design reports, and present them to top management & customers.
7. Responsible in documenting troubleshooting steps prior to handing over the solution to the Network Operations team.
8. Act as next level of escalation when Operations/NOC team is not able to resolve issue within Operation Level Agreement (OLA) or Service Level Agreement (SLA).
9. Must be able to multi-task between various connectivity/network assignments in different client environments. 

Job Requirements

1. 1-3 years’ of experience in Network solutioning and designing.
2. CCNA & CCNP or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
3. Worked on network Switches, Routers and VPN Concentrators.
4. Experienced in technologies (IPSEC, VPN, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, ADSL, Cellular UMTS, LTE).
5. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Able to demonstrate leadership/guidance to Operations/NOC team and junior network engineer.
7. Able to conduct knowledge sharing session and documentation to team members.
8. Experience in security products such as Palo Alto, Watchguard, Sophos, Juniper SRX or vSRX, Fortigate, Cisco ISR/ASA will be an added advantage.
9. Experience administrating VMWare, Hyper-V is an added advantage.
