About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team with a significant impact on healthcare access. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining data-driven technology solutions for external and internal users, including patients, healthcare providers, employers, and operations teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your understanding of healthcare systems to scale services for small and medium businesses across the Philippines.
 

Location
This is a hybrid role based in Metro Manila, Philippines, with the requirement to commute to the office in the Ortigas area at least once per week.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack systems for various stakeholders.
• Integrate APIs for workflows, including patient engagement and medical record systems.
• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Perform exploratory data analysis using SQL or Python to interpret unfamiliar data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in a tech company.
• Proficient in SQL and one programming language (Python or modern JavaScript). Knowledge of Typescript and bundlers like Vite is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software and data engineering fundamentals, including handling large datasets and differentiating OLAP vs. OLTP.
• Excellent written communication skills for a hybrid, asynchronous work environment.
• A quick learner, ready to tackle challenges in working with healthcare data.
• High attention to detail and code quality, with experience using Git and UNIX-like operating systems.

Bonus Points if You Have:

• Familiarity with Google Cloud or Azure.
• Interest in building products using LLMs.
• Experience in healthcare, particularly with medical data or customer service workflows.
