About the Role
As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our finance team, executing various finance and operations-related tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing BIR 2307 document printing, and organizing proofs of payment. You’ll collaborate closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to support day-to-day operations and contribute to our mission of providing affordable healthcare.
Responsibilities
Financial Transactions and Recordkeeping:
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses with precise data entry.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable while maintaining accurate financial records.
General Ledger and Reconciliation:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and posting journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset records.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Aid in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and support tax return submissions (VAT, withholding, and income tax).
Expense Monitoring:
- Verify and allocate expense claims, assisting with budget management.
Process Improvement and Collaboration:
- Suggest process enhancements and assist with system updates.
- Coordinate with HR on payroll and government compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Accounting, ideally with a top audit firm (SGV/EY, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte) and in-house experience within an operating company.
- Proficiency in accounting software, BIR compliance, and local tax laws.
- High attention to detail in financial data and reporting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
